Makeup and What it Means to Me

Makeup, to me, is not just putting different products on my face to make me look pretty, as it is for some. It's a kind of art that I get to do, not on paper, but on myself and others, to magnify what's already there. It changes our perspectives on who we are and who we have the potential to be. Feeling good about yourself  can change your whole outlook on life, I can tell the difference between how I feel and act when I wake up and decide I am going to really try and look nice today and the days where I chose comfort over looks. I am not saying that we don't need those kind of days. We do, but there is also power in feeling and knowing that we are beautiful. There is also power in not wearing makeup all the time and realizing that makeup is just a tool, it's not what makes you truly beautiful.

  1. What a beautiful post! You've inspired me to write my own on my blog, but I literally cannot compose it! It's so hard to come up with a summary of makeup in one post, but you've done it very well :)
